Deceptive DeSantis

In this episode we talk about Deceptive DeSantis. But we start with the growth of "Up The Middle." We're on more directories, and have had more than an month of no "Zero Play Days," meaning that YOU'RE LISTENING! Thanks for going "Up The Middle"!

We've TRANSITIONED (See what we did, there?) from Ronda Santos to our new nickname: Sgt DeSchultz, after Sgt Schultz of "Hogan's Heroes"! Governor Ron DeSantis claims to know nothing, and have nothing to do with, the new criteria for teaching about slavery and race in the state of Florida. Not only do we show THAT'S a lie, but we also poke the obvious fun for him taking the easy way out. Former New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, agrees.

Florida is now teaching that black slaves received a "Personal Benefit," in that they learned job skills. Wow! Then we get to watch Sgt. DeSchultz struggle to justify HIS policies.

Yergz breaks down Gov DeSantis' mannerisms to include "the bobble head," and "the three whites." Yergz explains why the body does this, and most importantly, what it means. The bobble head is like a nervous tic. The three whites, also known as "crazy eyes," show tension and often lead to "fight or flight."

Sure. (loved that response from the anchor!)

Additionally, there was no support from the background. The one Asian lady smiled, but any poker player, or normal human being, can tell that was fake, even a sign of embarrassment. When you backdrop yourself with supporters, they should be showing just that: SUPPORT. They stood there, silently, and with no genuine emotion.

Then we watch former NJ Governor Chris Christie go on the offensive. He articulates that DeSantis' actions are "not the signs of leadership," and "politically manipulative," once again showing how he's different than any other Republican Presidential Candidate.

We then see what Google Bard had to say. Withing seconds, we used AI to determine that Ron DeSantis DID have something to do with these new requirements, reminding me that he had books removed from schools that accurately taught students about Harriet Tubman!

This brought fear to the hearts of teachers, and made them protect their job security over the quality of our children's educations. This is why Yergz decided to Home School his son, Zack, for his senior year. While we don't endorse candidates at "Up The Middle," Ron DeSantis is the one guy that could get Yergz voting for Trump - and that's not happening.
